Tracks of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway run alongside, joining in the middleground with those of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad before entering Lexington at Jordan’s Point. Today, the Chessie Trail occupies the railbed.

Inspired by a 1908 photograph by Benjamin Morgan found in the archives of the Virginia Military Institute.
